Sweet

London was so sweet today. She did everything I asked and said "okay Mom" and just smiled up at me. She skipped around most of the day singing to herself. I am so happy that I have a daughter. She is truly beautiful.

Happy Birthday London

We celebrated your 3rd Birthday with your friends today. We did a Witch theme this year. It was really cute. We had Zoey Bales, Casey Cavanaugh, and Ariana Sweat there to celebrate. Sawyer was quite disappointed that he couldn't come (we had it while he was at school). But I told him that I wanted it to be all about London and that when he was around he stole the show.

I was thinking about all that has happened with you over the past year. You have taught yourself the entire alphabet. You are so motivated to learn! One of your favorite things to do is find letters while we are out and about. You love to take your time doing things and being independent. But you also are a major diva. If you don't feel like doing something you will try your hardest to get out of it. We have butted heads a lot. We found out that your Dad is a softie. You have him right where you want him.
One of the hardest things with you this year was your whining and screaming. You have a scream that makes "fairies die in the forests" (something I told Sawyer and you to try and get the screaming to stop). The screaming and whining have gotten much better and I feel like our relationship is on the mend. There were many times where I wanted to hurl myself, or you for that matter, off the balcony to rid myself of that horrific sound. I found out what my pet peave is this past year. Whining and Screaming.

But on a happier note, your potty training went very smoothly. I was so proud at how fast you picked it up. You started taking dance classes and you are the clown of the class which is an accomplishment because you tend to be more quiet. (Maybe it's because Sawyer is so loud and that is your chance to be yourself) You learned how to say all the names in the family correctly. (Sawyer used to be London and Dad was Mom). And we learned how sweet you can be. You are a sweetheart. You are very sincere and very loving. You love to read books, play with your dolls, put together puzzles, and play with Sawyer. And those dimples are almost too cute. Almost.

Dance Class

London is so cute during her dance class. She is very selective on what she chooses to do and she has finally decided that she wants to dance during dance class. Stubborn Girl. It is so much fun to watch her. The class is really for me not her.

Sometimes London will smile at me and say "I'm happy Mom" I really want that to be my focus every day especially while my kids are young--keep them happy and confident.

Dance Class

First Day of Dance Class-Mommy and Me. It's so much fun having some one on time with London. She is just pure sweetness! Until something happens that she doesn't like and then it's just molasses.

Snuggle Bug to Grouchy Ladybug

London is like that poem,
There was a little girl with a little curl right in the middle of her forehead
and when she was good she was very very good but when she was bad she was horrid.

She is so sweet and likes to snuggle and giggle. She is just plain adorable and she is talking alot more now. But when she does not get her way or when she doesn't want to pleasant. Yikes.
I think she is just a drama queen. We were attempting to go on a walk at Grandma's house today and it was windy and she was crying because she thought she was going to blow away. She has no ounce of tomboy in her. But I will keep trying to instill the love of outdoors in her and toughen her up a bit...her dad won't do it. He is such a softie with her. He is a softie with all of them but especially his dimpled darling.

Like Mother like Daugher

Today London tripped into the fridge and got a goose egg on her forehead, hit her head on Saywer's teeth on the tramp, and fell down the stairs.

Sidewalk drawings

Sawyer requested a giant robot today while we were drawing on the sidewalk and after I drew the main frame of the robot they were adding stuff to it (like an antennae at the top, eyes, a belt, a heart, etc.) London drew something in between its legs and said "wiener!"  Totally made my day.

Thank Heaven for Little Girls

I don't think girls come any cuter than London. She can get away with anything because of those darn dimples!  She is a very good big sister to Coen. Too good at times. She likes to give him food to eat. The worst one yet was a peanut that Joel had to extract from Coen's mouth. Today while I was trying to put them down for a nap I went in to check on them and found London half way in Coen's crib and Coen covered in toys and books. She was trying to make him happy because he was crying. Her favorite thing right now is ladybugs and she loves the song "Ladybug ladybug fly away home, your house is on fire and your children will burn". The song was on a kids music cd that I let them listen to and of course that is the song she chose to be her favorite--I don't know whether to laugh or cry when she goes around singing "your children will burn" because she says it so cutely!

Spankins

London got in trouble on the way home from church today. And the first thing she said was "Mom, no spank me." And I said, "Well, Londy I might have to" and she said, "No spank me, my bum is hiding."

Hushabye Mountain

London's favorite lullabye is Hushabye Mountain from Chitty Chitty Bang. She asks for it whenever I put her to sleep. And then she justs looks at me with her beautiful brown eyes and twirls her hair and pats my cheek. And I forget all of the whining, screaming, wailing, and moaning she has done all day. Thank goodness for those moments!
